ARE YOU FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

“And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied” (Luke 1:67)

You can’t live an impactful life without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that gives expression to the new nature in your life. Without him being active in your life, your spiritual life will remain barren. The scripture says: “It’s the Spirit who gives life, the flesh accomplishes nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63)

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God gave the promise long time ago that the last day’s saints would witness an unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Joel said, “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28). You are a recipient of this promise and you need to key into it so you can live a triumphant life this last days.

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. When he comes, he will enabled you to see visions. That’s the ability to see your future in picture form. He will also empower you to prophesy – that’s the ability to release words that are inspired by the Holy Spirit.

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because without his ability at work in you, you can’t reveal Jesus to your world. It’s the Holy Spirit that gives boldness for effective witnessing. Here is what the word says: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Even for Jesus, he had to be filled with the Holy Spirit before He could carry out an effective ministry. The scripture testified to this in Isaiah 61:1: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me, he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed and to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners” (Isaiah 61:1).

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because he is the one that gives you access to the other seven spirits of God. Isaiah said: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit   knowledge and of the fear of the LORD“(Isaiah 11:1-2).

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because he is the one who inspires you with spiritual vocabulary. Paul said: “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Ephesians 5:18-19)

You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because He is the one that will grant you access to the deep and secret things of God. The scripture says: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him. But God has revealed those things by his Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the deep things of God” (1 Cor. 2:9-10)

Dear friends, have you been filled with the Holy Spirit? Do you see the evidence of his presence in your life? You don’t need to deny yourself of this heritage. You can ask him to come afresh into your life today. The Bible says: In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified” (John 7:37-39). It’s the season and the era of the Holy Spirit and you must ride on this wave to enjoy the blessedness he brings.
