HAVE YOU DISCOVERED WHY YOU ARE HERE ON EARTH?

“Then I said, ‘See, I have come to do your will, O God’ in the volume of the scroll this is written about me” (Hebrews 10:7)

Life must be lived purposefully. I believe each of us is born with and for a specific purpose.  Identifying, acknowledging and honoring this purpose is perhaps the most important action you must take. Successful people take the time to understand what they are here on earth to do and then pour their lives into it with passion and enthusiasm. So, if you want to succeed in life, you must make it a matter of priority to discover why you are here.

Now, here is a question for you: “What were you put on this earth to do?” What are you willing to pour your life into? For Jesus, he recognized he was here to do the WILL of God and so, He poured his life unreservedly into it and when he was done, he said, “It is FINISHED” (John 19:30)

Living for a singular purpose is the way to live an impactful life. Without purpose in life, it’s easy to get sidetracked on your life journey.  It’s easy to wander and drift, accomplishing little.  But with purpose, everything in life will seamlessly fall in place. To be “on purpose” means you’re doing what you love to do, doing what you’re good at and accomplishing what’s important to you in a way that it benefits humanity and bring glory to God.

It was Jack Canfield who once said, “When you’re truly on purpose, the people, resources, and opportunities you need naturally gravitates toward you. The world also benefits, because when you act in alignment with your true life purpose, all of your actions automatically serve others.”

World successful people are men who discovered and pursued their purpose. Jesus had set an example for us to follow. Apart from the Hebrew text above, he also explicitly outlined his purpose statement in Luke 4:18, 19:  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has anointed me to tell the good news to the poor. He has sent me to announce release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to set oppressed people free, and to announce the year of the Lord’s favor.”

There are five questions you must answer in life, namely:

• Where Am I from? This a question about your source.
• Who Am I? This is a question about your Identity.
• Why Am I here? This is a question about your Purpose.
• What Can I do? This is a question about your Potential.
• Where Am I going? This is a question about your Destination.

Have you discovered the reason for your living? Are you pursuing the WILL of God for your life? What contributions are you making to your world? Think about this today!
