MEN OF VALOUR: THE RISING OF A VAST ARMY – PART 4

Part 4 – God’s Army Restored and Revived

“So, I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet – a vast army” (Ezekiel 37:10)

Jesus came to restore the LIFE of God to humanity so that men could secure the power needed for an effective service (John 1:4-5). What we lost at the garden in the beginning was restored to us by the last Adam, Jesus (Rom. 5:17). He came so that we could be brought out of the valley of spiritual lameness and live a vibrant life of the kingdom. It is significant to note that except the breath of life comes to a man’s life he can never in any way impact his generation (John 6:63).

When the life-giving Spirit of God came upon the bone in the valley, strength came upon them and a vast army emerged. In the same way, when Jesus comes into a man’s life in the person of the Holy Spirit, he does not only give power for service; he also gives LIFE for living.

Unless there is a quickening of the Spirit in a man’s life he remains unprofitable (Rom. 8:11). This Life is the God’s Kind of Life (Zoe). This life is from above (Col. 3:1); it is eternal in nature (John 3:16); it is a LIFELIGHT. It overcomes darkness. (John 8:12); it is an abundant life (John 10:10); it is a life of glory and power (1 Cor. 15:43); it is a victorious life (1 Cor. 15:57).

The victory that is given to us by this life-giving Spirit is a decisive and unlimited victory; it is a victory over the devil and all his caprices; it is a victory over sin and its torment; it is a victory over slavery and depravity; it is a victory over obscurity; it is a victory over nakedness and eternal shame; it is a victory over emptiness and dryness; it is actually a perpetual celebrated victory.
