TOUGH TIMES NEVER LAST
Quote from the Book
“Nobody is a total failure if he dares to try to do something worthwhile” (p.22)
“I’d rather attempt to do something great and fail than to attempt to do nothing and succeed” (Robert Schuller)
The Author

In his five decades on television, Schuller was principally known for the weekly Hour of Powertelevision program, which he began hosting in 1970 until his retirement in 2010. He was also the founder of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, California, where the Hour of Power program was later broadcast. His other books include: “Move Ahead with Possibility Thinking” (which was his first book); “The Be Happy Attitudes”; “Believe in the God who believes in you.” Robert Schuller went to be with Lord on April 2, 2015.
Insights from the Book
This is a 238 pages book divided into 10 chapters organized into three parts. If you have ever prayed this kind of prayer: “Lord, give me the guidance to know when to hold on and when to let go and the grace to make the right decision with dignity”, it could be the most important prayer you have prayed (or you will ever pray someday). This book could be the answer to that prayer. In this book you will be provoked to tough action to hold on until the light breaks, the tides turns, and the times change for the better; to tenaciously dig in and bloom where you are planted; to inspire people with your cheerful attitude while you are going through such obviously difficult times. Furthermore, this book will inspire you to take action to make a bold and daring move; to make a creative transition, recognizing an era has come to an end. Simply put, the message in this book could be captured thus: “Name your problem, and you name your possibility!” Dr. Schuller shows you how to build a positive self-image, no matter what your problem. Whether it is unemployment, poor health, loneliness, fear, or anything else that blocks your success, you can turn your negative into a positive. No matter how tough times get, you have the potential to achieve the best of life. One message that becomes clear in this book that every reader would most likely hold is: “When you’ve exhausted all possibilities, remember this: you haven’t!
