WHAT IS WORSE THAN PHYSICAL BLINDNESS?

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28)

They once asked Helen Keller: “What is worse than physical blindness?” Her response: “What is worse than physical blindness is to have sight without vision”. Do you have VISION? God wants you to have Vision. That’s one of the things the Holy Spirit does when you come under His influence. In fact, it’s one of the positive signs of the end times. The word says, “Your young men shall see visions”
What is VISION? Vision is the ability to recognize your PURPOSE and being able to write it down plainly; it’s the ability to see a preferred future.
When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, he removes the spiritual scales covering your eyes, so you can see clearly the purpose and plan of God for your life. That’s what happened to Saul when he came under the influence of the power of the Spirit. When Ananias got to him, he said: “That you may receive your sight and be filled with the HOLY SPIRIT. Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once” (Acts 9:17, 18).
A life without vision is directionless; it’s a life void of influence. You can’t arrive at a destination you cannot perceived. You cannot impact your world without a clear understanding of why you’re here. You cannot harness your potential when you don’t even know what they are. So, how clear is your vision?
God wants you to move from glory to glory. But this can only happen when your eyes of understanding are opened through the instrumentality of the Spirit. The Scripture says: “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of Lord” (2 Cor. 3:17,18).
How clear is your vision? God does not want you to only operate by eyesight- (your naked eyes) and hindsight (eyes from behind or “experience”) alone, he also want you to have “insight” (Revelation) and “foresight” (Vision). That was the kind of prayer Paul prayed for the Ephesians believers in Ephesians 1: 17-18.
For this to happen, your eyes of understanding must be flooded with LIGHT (Ephesians 1:18). The true light is God’s word. When you dive deeper into God’s Word, it births a clear VISION in you. This is because the entrance of his Word gives light and understanding (Psalm 119: 105, 130).
What do you see? Jesus once challenged his disciples to lift up their eyes when they were seeing things contrary to God’s purpose and plan (John 4:35). In the same manner, I charge you to LIFT UP YOUR EYES; it’s time to have clear Vision and see things from God’s perspective.
It’s time to see the Vision of a lost world without Jesus. It’s time to see how you fit into God’s global agenda. It’s time to see the vast potential God has given you and to develop the same to fulfill his purpose for your life. It’s time to leave your comfort zone and break new frontiers. It’s time to ride on the wings of the Spirit to where God had destined for you. One thing is sure: we are in the last days, and the Holy Spirit is moving and mobilizing people toward fulfilling God’s Agenda. Don’t be blind to God’s plan and purpose.
Finally, I need to impress on your heart again: “Sight without VISION is worse than physical blindness.” Therefore, ask God to give you a second touch!
